Chief Innovation Officer at NanoRacks, LLC
Mike Lewis is currently the Chief Innovation Officer at NanoRacks, LLC, where he is responsible for overseeing the technical, scientific, and engineering direction for the company. He has developed, built, and flown experiment platforms to the ISS, including computer facilities, a centrifuge, and biology growth chambers. Michael helped develop the NRCSD (the NanoRacks CubeSat Deployer) system which has deployed over 280 satellites from the ISS, as well as a satellite deployer that has deployed over 30 satellites off of the Northrup Grumman Cygnus spacecraft.
Before joining Nanoracks, Mike was the lead engineer for Deep Down, Inc., a Houston-based company that fabricates subsea structures and services deepwater subsea oil operations. Prior to that, Mike comes from a background of Aerospace (Tethers Unlimited, Inc.), Electromechanical Design (ANCO Engineers, Inc.), Structural Engineering (Structural Components, LLC) and as an Adjunct Professor in Space Systems Operation Management (Webster University).
