Florina is the President of the Center for Contemporary Sciences, a non-profit organization focused on advancing human, animal, and planetary health through innovative technologies, education, and policy and advocacy. She serves as an executive advisor for the Methuselah Foundation, NASA’s allied organization for the Deep Space Food Challenge. Florina is spearheading the Animal Free Precision Medicine program on behalf of Center for Contemporary Sciences in partnership with the Methuselah Foundation’s Animal Free Precision Medicine open innovation prize. Animal Free Precision Medicine (AFPM) is a revolutionary initiative to drive transformation in drug and therapeutics R&D through human relevant models and methodologies.
