Dobri Kaspov, MD

Member of Board of Directors for the International Society of Apheresis, Founder Global Apherisis and Co-founder of Lyfspan

He is a Harvard trained immunologist. He is an internationally recognized pioneer in the field of apheresis and has more than 100 publications on the subject.

Dr, Kaspov has served two terms on the Board of Directors of American Society For Apheresis and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the International Society of Apheresis and is a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Transfusion and Apheresis Science.

He has received multiple awards for his contributions to the field of apheresis and has served as Chairman of the Division of Immunotherapy at California Pacific Medical Center. He was the founder and President of the Bay Area Mobile Apheresis Program and Senior Vice President and Medical Director for Apheresis for Fresenius Medical Care, NA.

Recently, DK founded Global Apheresis and co-founded Lyfspan, a company devoted to the research of aging. He is also a visiting scientist at the Buck Institute for the Research of Aging.

Dr. Kiprov pioneered the use of Therapeutic Plasma Exchange (TPE) in ameliorating the effects of aging and is conducting a number of controlled and uncontrolled studies. The early results are already published.
