Thomas Okarma gave the keynote address at the 2010 World Stem Cell Summit. He spoke about his company’s research and future plans for treating those with spinal injuries. The Geron Corporation had received permission from the FDA to begin the world’s first human clinical trial to test embryonic stem cells as a treatment for spinal cord injuries.
