The ability to undergo an allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplant (allo-HCT), the only potentially curative therapy for patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), is significantly influenced by socioeconomic factors with some groups less likely to receive the potentially lifesaving treatment than others, according to findings from a multicenter study presented at the 2024 ASH Annual Meeting and Exposition.
