Japan’s health ministry advisory panel cleared Sumitomo Pharma’s Parkinson’s disease treatment Amchepry for inclusion in the national insurance program on May 13, opening public coverage for what regulators describe as the first iPS cell-derived product to reach commercial status anywhere in the world.
