Early Registration is Open for 2012 World Stem Cell Summit in West Palm Beach

PALM BEACH, Florida, May 29, 2012 – World Stem Cell Summit Co-Chair, Bernard Siegel announced that early registration is now open for the 8th Annual World Stem Cell Summit at the Palm Beach County Convention Center on December 3-5, 2012. The 2012 Summit is co-organized by the Genetics Policy Institute (GPI), the Interdisciplinary Stem Cell Institute at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, the Diabetes Research Institute (DRI), Karolinska Institute, Beckman Research Institute at the City of Hope and the International Translational Regenerative Medicine Center (ITRC).

The World Stem Cell Summit is devoted to fostering cross-sector collaborations aimed at accelerating the process and translation of science into effective treatments and cures. The three-day Summit features 170 experts and 50+ hours of in-depth presentations in four tracks: Research, Translation/Regulation, Commercialization/Reimbursement and Advocacy/Patient Education. This year, new developments in the study of many diseases and conditions will be focused on, including cancer, diabetes, HIV/AIDS, heart disease, spinal cord injury, paralysis, MS, ALS, Parkinson’s and diseases of the eye. The Summit’s integration of disciplines and technologies works to unite, educate, and harmonize the global stem cell universe.
